In a randomized clinical trial, home phototherapy was found to be equivalent to in office treatment in efficacy and safety with 3x superior adherence rates for home treatment. Both modalities are covered by most top insurances.
Prescribers have the flexibility to choose between at-home or in-office treatments; at-home treatments for patients whom in-office visits are a barrier to accessing treatment; in-office treatments for those who have convenient access to their treatment center and/or may need initial support and guidance as they begin treatments.
We understand that it is important for patients to seek care from their physician for these chronic conditions and that patient adherence is a primary concern for healthcare providers. This is why we offer an option to prescribe a defined number of treatments, thereby encouraging a check-in with their doctor.
