Safe, Effective, & Versatile

The clear choice for healthcare providers, phototherapy offers a safe & effective treatment option for conditions like psoriasis, eczema, & vitiligo.

Phototherapy can be administered in-office or at-home, making it a versatile & widely adaptable treatment choice.

Enhance patient care & grow your practice.

Phototherapy has the unique ability to expand a provider’s patient population by attracting individuals with chronic skin conditions seeking effective and safe treatments. Its versatility allows for both in-office sessions and home use options, accommodating diverse lifestyles and preferences. By integrating phototherapy, providers can meet the growing demand for innovative therapeutic skincare solutions with a highly effective treatment strategy for patients making it a valuable opportunity for clinics everywhere.

The 5-in-1 Benefits of Phototherapy

Narrowband UVB phototherapy is an ideal first line treatment that is safe for pregnant women3, children2, the elderly1, and immunocompromised patients4.

Phototherapy’s minimal side effect profile makes it a safer alternative to many systemic medications.

Research has also shown that Narrowband UVB phototherapy has no significant association with Malignant Melanoma.

For decades, clinical study data has shown consistently high rates of clearance (95.1% clearance5) for both PUVA and Narrowband UVB phototherapy, with many patients reaching PASI 75 weeks earlier than the leading biologics.5

Phothera technology makes customizing treatments for home, in-office, or dual-path treatments easy and intuitive with technologically driven solutions that keep the provider in control and connected to their patients. Learn about our technology.

In-office phototherapy is highly accessible for any size of practice and allows a practice to provide a treatment that is safe, effective, and highly viable for the majority of patients living with chronic skin conditions.

Treating just three patients, three times per week ensures consistent utilization of in-office equipment.

Home phototherapy is a one-time expense for patients that offers lower long-term costs when compared to alternative treatments.

This reduces the long-term financial burden to the patient and eliminates the risk of treatment disruption due to coverage changes.

Home Phototherapy

Patient Convenience with Provider Peace of Mind

Home phototherapy offers your patients the safety and effectiveness of in-office treatments, coupled with the convenience of treating in their own home.

Phothera offers a variety of technological advancements to ensure patient safety and compliance while also allowing for provider control and insight. These technological advancements, coupled with our ClearLink Prescriber’s Portal, make administering home phototherapy safer and easier than ever.

In-Office Phototherapy

Expand and Grow Your Practice

In-office treatments allow the provider to oversee the patient’s progress and set standard treatment protocols – ensuring patient safety and maximizing patient throughput.

Additionally, in-office phototherapy presents an opportunity for providers to grow their practice by increasing their patient throughput.

PHOTHERA RECOMMENDED

You now have the flexibility to offer in office or home phototherapy

In a randomized clinical trial, home phototherapy was found to be equivalent to in office treatment in efficacy and safety with 3x superior adherence rates for home treatment. Both modalities are covered by most top insurances.

Prescribers have the flexibility to choose between at-home or in-office treatments; at-home treatments for patients whom in-office visits are a barrier to accessing treatment; in-office treatments for those who have convenient access to their treatment center and/or may need initial support and guidance as they begin treatments.

We understand that it is important for patients to seek care from their physician for these chronic conditions and that patient adherence is a primary concern for healthcare providers. This is why we offer an option to prescribe a defined number of treatments, thereby encouraging a check-in with their doctor. This method guides and empowers the patient while also allowing the provider to monitor their patients’ progress.

SmartTouch™

Phothera’s proprietary control system offers significant benefits and operational superiority over alternative dosimetry controllers. SmartTouch™ offers unparalleled safety with a network of built-in treatment protocols and a system of functional authority that allows only designated operators to make treatment decisions.

The SmartTouch™ data management system keeps an electronic record of the date, time, dosage, length of treatment, and operator name for each treatment. Voice announcements in a variety of languages are available to advise patients on treatment progress.

ClearLink Controller™

Phothera’s ClearLink™ Controller is the next evolution in phototherapeutic control and provides healthcare providers with greater confidence in home phototherapy. ClearLink’s touch-screen technology and intuitive user interface make using a Phothera phototherapy device easier than ever. The ClearLink system is easy to navigate and ensures that each treatment is delivered safely and effectively.

The ClearLink™ Controller, when set in Guided Mode, allows prescribers to program protocols for patients to follow or choose Phothera’s pre-loaded protocol to ensure patients are adhering to a safe treatment schedule. In Guided Mode, patients are prompted with questions to adjust their treatments according to the protocol they’re following, reducing risk of erythema.

ClearLink Prescriber’s Portal

Phothera’s ClearLink Prescriber’s Portal is an online portal designed to make prescribing home phototherapy quick and easy. Providers can now easily manage all their patients, prescriptions, and patient instructions in one place. The ClearLink portal offers effective cloud-based security for you and your patients’ data. The ClearLink portal is built on an infrastructure that is HIPAA compliant and leverages end-to-end encryption to protect your data from any outside threats. Integrating Dosimetry

If your goal is accurate dose control for optimal treatment outcomes, Phothera’s integrated dosimetry offers significant advantages over timer controllers. Integrated dosimetry systems like the Phothera’s ClearLink™ and SmartTouch™ dosimetry controllers measure the actual energy output of the phototherapy device in real time and adjust the treatment length to deliver exactly the programmed dose, regardless of environmental factors and lamp conditions.

Phothera offers integrated dosimetry systems on virtually every type of phototherapy device manufactured, including hand/foot devices and home phototherapy devices. To learn more about integrating dosimetry and how it can help you, speak with a Phothera representative.
