Home Phototherapy. The Clear Choice.
Phototherapy is safe for pregnant women, children, elderly, & immunocompromised patients.
Narrowband (NBUVB) phototherapy is a safe and effective treatment for autoimmune skin diseases and is considered a first-line treatment for many conditions such as psoriasis, vitiligo and eczema. It’s safe enough for pregnant women3 and children2 to use without the potentially serious side effects associated with biological drug therapies.
I cannot believe how much improvement I have gotten doing at home therapy…I wish I would have know about this sooner. I highly recommend it!

Why Choose Phothera Phototherapy:
SAFER
NBUVB phototherapy is considered a first-line treatment for many conditions including psoriasis, vitiligo and eczema due to its efficacy and long-term safety profile. By harnessing the power of a very specific band of Ultraviolet light and filtering the unwanted, NBUVB provides an effective treatment option with the primary side effect being a slight reddening of the skin.
EFFECTIVE
For decades, clinical data has shown consistently high rates of clearance (95.1 Clearance5) when Narrowband UVB is utilized.
FASTER
For psoriasis, Narrowband Phototherapy has a proven median clearance time of only 7-10 weeks5.
AFFORDABLE
In-office phototherapy treatments or the one-time cost of a home device are often covered by Medicare and most insurance companies.
TECHNOLOGICALLY DRIVEN
No phototherapy company matches Phothera’s dedication to innovation. Our ClearLink Controller’s intuitive touch-screen sets a new standard for patient safety, ease, and adherence.

How Phototherapy Works
During phototherapy treatment, the skin is exposed to a specific type of light from a specialized piece of medical equipment referred to as a phototherapy device. Patients typically receive three treatments each week, with each individual treatment lasting as little as a few minutes. These devices range in size from hand-held devices for spot treatment to “walk-in” devices for patients with full body involvement.
The medical lamps in these devices emit ultraviolet (UV) light in a specific range of wavelengths that have been clinically proven to lessen symptoms of chronic skin conditions by regulating some of the biochemical pathways that lead to flare ups. The impacted skin cells then begin to behave normally, which reduces or eliminates the symptoms of skin disease. Once the skin has shown improvement, a maintenance treatment once each week may be all that is necessary.

When no medication would help the pain and itching, the phototherapy finally did it. […] Best treatment ever!
